'What would you do if you had to start your internet business from scratch with no money at all?' This is a question that often pops up on the message boards of affiliate marketing sites. It usually comes from newbies trying to figure out what works best and fast. And the same answer comes up from experienced internet gurus: Create money making blog empires!

Why are blog empires a perfect way for making money?

1. Blogs are easy to set up and manage:
Maintaining a blog doesn't require programming and webdesign skills. You just register an account with a blogging service like Blogger.com, and you can start immediately posting messages.

2. There are no start-up costs:
Blogging services like Blogger are absolutely free. You don't need to spend money on hosting and domain names. If you run 30-50 niche sites and pay a domain name for each, it's a huge sum of money. If you run 30-50 or hundreds of blogs, when using free bloggging services, it doesn't cost you a dime.

3. Blogs are indexed by search engines within days:
One of the main problems that website owners have to overcome is getting into the search engines. With Google it can be an annoyingly long process (think of the Google sandbox effect). In the meantime, blogs are indexed much faster, usually within days, thanks to RSS feeds.

4. Blogs are a better way to promote affiliate products:
This comes from the nature of blogs. Blogs are a series of subjective opinions written by everyday people. It is a well-known fact, that the best way to sell affiliate products is to write a sincere, positive review. Experienced internet gurus use this technique to rank in tens of thousands of dollars monthly. Word of mouth advertising is till one of the most effective methods to persuade people to buy something. A well written blog post can do this for you.

5. Blogs can be easily monetized by using Adsense:
Contextual advertising is a popular way for webmasters to earn money without effort. With blogs it is the same. Just put a piece of code into your page's source and there you have it. Then wait for your visitors to click the ads. Even if you don't know much of HTML codes, you can benefit from displaying text ads. Blogger offers you to put Adsense ads on your blog's template, and you can do this from the Blogger menu with a few clicks, so no need to bother with HTML codes. It even offers you to match the color of ads with the colors of your blog's layout. It is called blending and it increases click through rates enormously.

Secret methods of creating money making blog empires fast

Method 1:
The first method is to create blogs that concentrate on certain problems. In your posts first describe the problem, then offer a solution. This solution should be an affiliate product or service, that you promote. Most people use the internet to find information for solving a problem. For example, treatments for acne problems, solutions for money matters, where to rent a car on holidays, reliable softwares against viruses and spams, etc. This is where you can wirte about how you had the same problem and how this or that product solved it.

If you start 5 blogs a day, you will have 150 blogs at the end of the first month. Imagine how much money you can earn from this blog empire. And that would be just the first month. This method sounds simple and obvious but many affiliate bloggers do it wrong. There is a new way found out by Rob Benwell to do this successfully. You can read more about it in my blog: http://blogging-to-the-bank.blogspot.com

Method 2:
This is a less often used method. Use your blogs as online courses or online tutorials. Find a topic and start a series of posts like it's a series of lessons. Your fist post should be lesson 1, the second post should be lesson 2, and so on. Place affiliate links into your posts. You can also use these blogs for generating Adsense revenue. Keep the number of lessons between 10-20. If you don't like writing or don't know the subject well enough, go to free article directories. Pick 10-20 articles of your subject area and convert them into a series. That's all.

Start blogging today and in a month you will have a blog empire earning you a decent amount of money. For more information see my blog below.

Private Label Articles - Get More Useful Content At Low Cost and Effort

Private label rights (PLR) are one of the hottest things in Internet marketing today. Everybody wants to know what they are and, more importantly, what benefits they can get out of them.

In essence, PLR is a kind of license you acquire for material, which allows you to change and edit existing material and call it your own. Without having to do a lot of work, you could be credited as the author of the material and not have to worry about any violations in copyright.

Not a lot of people know about the PLR articles, much less why they should pay attention to them. Give yourself the edge and find out why you should know all you can about PLR and how you can profit from them in the most efficient and effective way possible.

1. Saves time and effort.
You probably already know how much work and time it will take to write an article. On average, a single 700-word article will take about two hours to compose from scratch. If your intention is to create a website with over 50 pages, then you can see how daunting and time-consuming the task of simply writing content will be. PLR articles will save you this time and effort.

2. All credit goes to you.
You are under no obligation to credit the original author for PLR articles. As such, when you publish them on your website, no outbound links and advertisements will be there to distract your visitor / customer. All links will be focused on your brand and your affiliates.

3. Saves you money.
This point requires a different point from saving time and effort simply because of economics. Hiring writers to create content for your website averages about $15 per article. If your site were to hold even just 20 articles that you need to update regularly (say every two weeks), you'd see how the bill could add up.

But if you were to acquire PLR for a set of articles, you could save money because of the economics of scale. Articles are bought at bulk and as such it is possible to get your hands on 200 articles for only less than $30.

4. Editorial freedom.
You don't like how the article is written or the information it is presenting? PLR allows you to change the material right away without needing to ask permission from the writer.
This is also especially useful for optimizing your website for search engines since you can enrich the content with keyword phrases to improve your rankings in SERPs.

5. Create a brand for yourself.
Today, it's all about distinguishing yourself from the rest. PLR articles allow you to provide content that is both relevant and updated. By doing so you build a reputation with your target audience as an expert. And since people would much rather go with someone they trust, your chances of return visitors increases significantly.

6. Get professional results.
Many of the writers who offer articles with PLR are professionals and have access to the latest information regarding your field of interest. By acquiring the rights from them, you avail yourself of their professional results without having to retain their services regularly.

With one set of PLR articles and some creativity on your part, you can extend the life of the articles to the point where the content has more than paid for itself. So when sourcing out a supplier for PLR articles, ask for sample works to demonstrate the quality of articles you would be purchasing.

Now that you know why you should seriously consider getting PLR articles, here are some ways to get you started on profiting from them.

1. Compile a list or report.
You can consolidate a series of articles of a similar theme and package them as a report or listing of information. While you may think that anyone can do this, you'd be surprised how little of this is done.

Many people don't have the time to read or the willingness to read several articles at different times. Providing them a simplified version of the information they want will be a welcome offer for your visitors. You can either give away the report for free, sell it as your own product or use it as content on your website.

2. Use PLR content to create a series of small articles
This is especially useful when producing material for an email campaign. A series is by far, one of the more effective ways to create a following with your audience.

Give enough to allow them a feel for what you're offering and hint at giving more of the same if they will subscribe to your mailing list. In turn, your emails promote your website by inviting them to visit you on a more regular basis.

3. Produce ebooks.
It is very possible for you to take a set of PLR articles and come up with an ebook, for which you can credit yourself as the author.

Since you have created an entirely new product you could repackage this and sell this with your own resale rights. Just like you, there are people who are looking for material they can use for their own promotion needs so cater to this market as they are increasingly growing in number.

As you can see, using PLR articles are not only effective in providing truly useful content. They are also cost and labor-efficient, which means you can focus more of your time to more important matters, whether they are for business or otherwise.

Design Conventions: A Good Idea?

Even while searching for innovative ways to make their websites work, new designers should follow the established design conventions. These conventions have evolved along with the Internet, and users expect web pages to function in a certain way.

If there were only a few websites, designers could expect visitors to spend time learning how to navigate their sites. There are millions of pages on the web, however, and if visitors do not see what they have come to expect, they will find the site difficult to use and simply go somewhere else. Designers could lose significant amounts of traffic if they do not adhere to the design conventions that have already been imposed on websites. And no designer really wants to spend time on writing large help files or FAQs just to explain how to use a site. The web is a competitive place, and most of the time, visitors will simply leave a site rather than try to work through a bad design.

The design conventions for websites are simple, but they are effective. To follow these conventions, designers should ensure that their logos function as links to the home page; that clicking on a small image will display a larger version of that image; that all links lead to HTML documents unless they are clearly labeled as some other format (PDS, movie, etc.); that items are purchased by adding them to a virtual shopping cart and then taking them through a virtual checkout process. Website identity checks should always be accomplished through a system that relies on user names and passwords. These are just a few of the conventions. There are many others.

If a website does not follow these rules and conventions, visitors become annoyed, frustrated, and confused. People will leave a website in a heartbeat if it makes them work too hard to navigate it.

There are situations in which the common website design conventions may be ignored. One such situation is if a site is so unique that what it offers is worth the time to learn how to use it. When Google introduced its Gmail product, the first webmail service in the world that provided a gigabyte of storage space, an interface that utilizes Javascript to change whole pages without reloading them was included. This was a diversion from web conventions, but the site worked so well that it became popular in spite of its departure from conventional design. The site is now beginning to create new conventions of its own.

Designers should not start believing that they are more important than they actually are. The introduction of a new product or service does not mean designers can get away with adding streaming video to a page without annoying people, for example. Designers are advised to recognize the limits of their websites and work to make them as much like other websites as possible in terms of design and navigation.

Creative Photo Ideas

Creative Photo Ideas

Word Count:
722

Summary:
There are lots of experienced and creative photographers around the Web who eagerly share their experience and ideas with people around.

Keywords:
photography, photo equipment

Article Body:
1. Surf around the Web. Look at images at magazines, papers, on-line galleries and you'll find a wealth of ideas. Try the Gallery at shotaddict.com. Want more – go to flickr.com and look through tones of creative shots. Another useful source is VFXY, it displays recent posts from various photoblogs.

   2. Learn the 'visual language'. Visit Art Museums, Galleries and Exhibitions that have photography shows. Learn art history from Antiquity to the Present and discover how highly creative people developed methods for expressing light and color.

   3. Watch Movies. It is another source of inspiration, as they are nothing more than still images shown to you at 29.97 frames a second. Lots of ideas for concepts, lighting, messages, or just plain pretty images.

   4. Read photography books to learn new techniques and then try to apply them in your work.

   5. Look at things through the eyes of creativity. Pick anything and shoot it just to see what it looks like: things around your house, in the refridgerator, etc. The subject doesn't really matter all that much, what matters is how you shoot it. Shoot, shoot and still shoot even more. Digital is cheap.

   6. Composition is the key. Think about what you are doing. Frame your photo in your mind. Look for interesting angles and light, go high, go low. The key is to shoot the subject in as many different ways, under different lighting, and try to make those images interesting. So, don't just point and shoot, but consider composition.

   7. The twenty step exercise. If you lack inspiration, you can take your camera, go outside and start shooting anything around. Each photographer has their own secret. Some recommends shooting 100 photos in one hour. Others suggest you should try to get 100 shots from within the 10 metre radius of where you are. Others play twenty steps. Go out for a walk, walk twenty steps, stop, look around, take a picture (try and make it interesting, an unusual angle, a closeup, abstract, etc), walk another twenty steps, repeat. The point is to develop your eye, learn to look more indepth at your surroundings, to look in close as well as wide. This exercise forces you to try and see the mundane differently.

   8. Plan a trip to a local botanical garden or a zoo. Make sure to visit such places from time to time, - there are lots of things to shoot there.

   9. Shoot in different conditions. E.g. iff you shoot in early morning, late in the afternoon or in sunset, the available light will add more depth, create interesting shadows and color changes for your convenience. Try to photograph places in fog –  it will hide distracting background elements.

  10.  Look through postcards. If you want to shoot the city you live in, or you plan a trip to some excited place, you'll find it useful to look through postcards. Often we walk past something time and time again and never actually notice its potential. Besides, postcards will give you ideas what is the best way to shoot the subject.

  11. Learn how to "see" with your camera – another exercise to develop your eye. If your camera has a viewfinder, look through it for some time. Then look at a scene, and imagine how the camera will see it. Then hold again your camera up to your face and find out if you were right. Keep trying until you can tell immediately what the camera will see.
  12. Self-criticism Shoot, shoot and shoot! But after you take tons of images, you should sort them ruthlessly. 10% of worthy photos for a day is not bad results.

  13. Enter online contests. It's great inspiration to find interesting stuff to photograph. You have a topic, and it can make it easier to find interesting stuff to shoot. Try Contests at shotaddict.com.

  14. Join a photo community and interest groups.  It is cheap, informative, and fun. You can post your photos, participate in critique and discussions at forums. Some very good and interesting stuff to be found there!

  15. Take a photo a day and see your life in a whole new way.  It is a great article from Photojojo. Remember that a camera that you don't have with you is a camera that's not going to take any pictures. So try to have your camera on you as often as possible.

Character Education and its Benefits to our Children

Character Education and its Benefits to our Children

Word Count:
808

Summary:
Good character education is one of the most important things our children will learn in life. The benefits are positive and the outcome will lead our children into successful lives, as well as becoming a good citizen.

Keywords:
home business ideas, work-at-home moms, mom work-at-home idea, moms, stay-at-home moms, ideas, top 10, home business, virtual assistant, va, career kit, business opportunity, kids and character, character education, benefits, children and character, children and education

Article Body:
The Definition
Character education involves teaching children about basic human values including honesty, kindness, generosity, courage, freedom, equality and respect.

The goal is to raise children to become morally responsible, self-disciplined citizens. Problem solving, decision making, and conflict resolution are important parts of developing moral character. Through role playing and discussions, children can see that their decisions affect other people and things.

Inclusive Concept
Character education is an inclusive concept regarding all aspects of how families, schools, and related social institutions support the positive character development of children. Character in this context refers to the moral and ethical qualities of persons as well as the demonstration of those qualities in their emotional responses, reasoning, and behavior. Character is associated with such virtues as respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship. Broadly, character education encompasses all aspects of the influence that families, schools, and other social institutions have on the positive character development of children. Character Education is the deliberate effort to help people understand, care about and act upon core ethical values.

What Does Character Education Look Like?
Character education looks like young people learning, growing, and becoming. It feels like strength, courage, possibility, and hope. Giving life meaning, purpose, and a future is the collective message educators are sharing with youth in a curriculum that ultimately says, "Together we can."

We need to practice moral education by means of explanation — not simply stuffing students' heads with rules and regulations, but engaging them in great moral conversations about the human race. The very existence of this dialogue helps make us human.

How can Children benefit
Embedded in character education are guidelines for successful living. The language of respect and responsibility navigates the journey to ethical fitness. Children explore education as life and life as learning positive approaches for setting and achieving goals.

Children learn that living each day to its fullest means more than waiting for moments here and there. Character education presents life with context, inviting them to listen, share, explore, and reflect. Cultivating knowledge for purposeful living, students learn through literature, art, humanities and throughout the existing school curriculum the benefits and consequences of behavior. They learn the power of choice. They learn to appreciate the qualities of being human and to share their appreciation at home, in school, and in the community.

Finding Time
Many stories in children's literature, for example, reflect lessons in morals and virtues; we can read and discuss these moral lessons without taking time from core subjects. Character education also fits well with social studies and health topics. Accepting individual differences, showing courage, developing citizenship, taking responsibility for oneself, and making positive, so the hurdle of finding time for character education becomes less intimidating. Also, talking about good character traits fits naturally into the scheme of setting up a successful primary classroom. When we introduce games in math, we could review the ideas of fairness and cooperation.

Practicing Cooperative Learning Techniques
Partner and small-group learning activities are natural complements to character education, providing children with opportunities to practice cooperation, respect, teamwork, and responsibility. Children usually enjoy cooperative activities, and working with peers is a brain-friendly technique that enhances learning (Jensen, 1996).

School staff members serve as troubleshooters between students and the individuals or agencies in need of assistance. Such service programs teach valuable humanitarian skills. Through these activities, abstract concepts like justice and community become real as students see the faces of the lives they touch. Children begin to appreciate the need to couple moral thinking with moral action.

Does It Work?
Can character education really make a difference? Teaching about character is just as important as teaching the basics of writing, math, and reading. As Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education" (1947). Educators should work in partnership with families and communities to give children every opportunity to grow into people of good character, and especially to counteract society's potentially negative influences. Character education cannot cure all the world's evils, but it can improve and influence children in positive ways, giving them the skills that they will need to be successful adults.

Expectations of Excellence
Children need standards and the skills to achieve them. They need to see themselves as students engaged in a continuing pursuit of excellence. These standards of excellence in school work and behavior will encourage students to develop qualities like perseverance and determination, and those virtues will affect every aspect of the children's lives as they mature.

Academic studies change rapidly; what we discuss in class today becomes passé tomorrow. But the values, moral influences and noteworthy characteristics we model and discuss will outlast academic facts and figures. We can leave our children a legacy that will remain constant throughout life: to know the good, love the good and do the good.

Article Body:
Setting up a home based business doesn't have to be intimidating, expensive or time consuming. When you decide to make your living working from home, you simply need to go through a basic set up process to ensure you are ready.

Here are the steps for setting up your home business for success:

1. Attitude

- The key to your business success is your attitude.
- Treat your business like a business.

This is critical whether you are working part-time or full-time. For example, the mom who works from home around her family. She always puts her family first, at the same time developing her business. She says, "I may work part-time, but I have a full-time attitude." To put another way, "Have a hobby attitude, get a hobby income, have a business attitude get a business income."

You can be successful working part-time and you can be successful working full-time but it is unlikely that you will be successful just working in your "spare time".

2. Describe Your Business

Be able to describe your business concisely; a powerful one or two sentence description that someone can repeat in describing your business to others.

A unique and memorable tag line can also be invaluable for promoting your business. This is often referred to as your "elevator pitch" or "audio logo". Think about it, if you ask someone about their business and they describe it as "a errr, well, I kind of take care of, you know, well in as much as..." would you be impressed? Would you think that you should really hire that person? It's much better to be able to speak briefly, confidently and memorably about your business and what makes it unique.

3. Know Your Product or Service

Once you have chosen the product or service to sell you need to know your product intimately. If you are selling e-books for example, then know the content and its value. If you are selling software then use it and know it "inside out".

You will develop a reputation of providing quality information and because of your product knowledge, you can become the preferred supplier.

If it is not practical to use certain products (for example a woman may choose to sell man's shoes or vice versa) then you won't be using the product, however you can still know the benefits and features of the product intimately.

4. Get a Domain Name

Welcome to the twenty first century, you need a domain name for your business! You'll need an account with a reputable hosting company who will provide a "space" on the web for your domain name and site. The fees can be as low as $4.95 per month and go up from there. If you do not have any knowledge of HTML there are hosting companies that provide "site builder" software via the web. This can be a great option but be sure you like the application before you plunk down your money as you will probably be using it a lot!

5. Email

Once you have your own domain you will have one or more email accounts for that domain. This can assist in the promotion of your business and promotes a more professional business image.

Using email smartly can help you in the task of organizing your business communications.

By setting up some basic rules in Outlook or other email program you can have the mail conveniently sorted into folders for you as soon as it arrives.

6. Payment Processing

You will probably need a way to process credit cards. You could use services such as:

Paypal now has a Pro level of service that includes a virtual terminal, helping to keep the costs low. Once your business picks up you may need to look into your own merchant account for credit card transactions but any of the sites listed will certainly get you started and may be all you need for the life of your business.

7. Computer Protection

Your computer is the lifeline to your business dealings and must be protected including the data that is stored. You will need a virus scanner, personal firewall, anti-spyware and anti-adware and preferably an email scanner with the ability to delete suspect of spam email from the server before it is downloaded to your computer.

Some suggestions are:

A good all-round selection is one of the Norton products as they are kept up to date and have many if not all the features mentioned.

8. Working Environment

Getting organized is highly important, to ensure that you complete projects on time but also pay your bills on time and even bill your clients on time!

Having a working environment that help rather than hinders you work is also highly important. It can be tough but you need to establish a definite workspace for both yourself and any other people that are around.

- A space that you can call your own, free from distractions for your scheduled time.
- A comfortable chair and organized desk.
- Stationery supplies as required.
- Ensure you have a good computer monitor if you will be staring at it for long periods of time.
- Consider the value of a broadband connection. Your time is valuable and a broadband connection can allow you to get more done in a given time frame.

9. Administration

Use good record keeping practices... please!

You may need to consult a tax advisor who can let you know about the best way to set up your financial records and what records need to be kept. Your advisor can recommend record keeping systems and software may simplify this aspect of your business.

Additionally you can obtain advice on the best arrangement for your bank accounts. You will most likely be advised to have a separate account. Many banks now offer free checking for small business so do your research in to the options available to you.

Keep track of your various logins, usernames and passwords. This can be quite a big deal once your have a number of business resources online.

There are other useful tools for this also from a simple paper notebook to free and commercial password keepers. One popular solution is PasswordSafe.com. They provide a free web based service for storing username / passwords so you can access them from anywhere with an internet connection. They've been around since 1998 so the service is both trustworthy and reliable.

10. Schedule

Develop a schedule that works for you, your family and your business. When you mark off a block of time for work, then use that time for work. Equally important is to schedule time for your other commitments - family time, self-education (reading, listening and viewing), "health time" (exercise, cooking and eating), and leisure time. During these other times don't work. Remember, one of the reasons to work from home is to spend more time with your family and you don't want your working at home time to consume your family time.

You are working for yourself and your schedule (by your choice) is your "boss". When you have people calling you or dropping around unexpectedly or maybe out-of-town visitors may want to catch up with you then you need to make a choice. Are you committed to your own business success? What will be your choice in these situations? Only you can decide what is important to you.

In a family environment you may need to negotiate with your family and have your business time agreed upon, during which you will not be interrupted. Put this schedule prominently somewhere so all family members are aware of your work schedule.

These are the ten basics of working at home. Some of these items may change a little depending on the type of business you choose but in essence, this is it. A home based business can be the most fun, most rewarding experience of your adult life as long as you realize there are a few simple rules to keeping everything on track along the way.

How to Choose a Reputable Search Engine Optimization Content Writer

How to Choose a Reputable Search Engine Optimization Content Writer

Word Count:
709

Summary:
Choosing the right Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content writer can be a challenging task, because there are so many different styles and writers from which you can select. However, you don't want to just select any SEO content writer, because you need to make sure that the job is done right.

Keywords:
search engine optimization

Article Body:

Choosing the right Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content writer can be a challenging task, because there are so many different styles and writers from which you can select.  However, you don't want to just select any SEO content writer, because you need to make sure that the job is done right.  It is an art form which must be properly mastered before it can be effective.  So how do you know if your prospective SEO content writer has mastered this skill?  There are certain things that you can look for to make sure.

For one thing, you will want to be certain that you are happy with the SEO writing technique that the prospective writer uses, or that s/he is willing to implement your technique, if you have one of your own.  There are almost as many SEO writing techniques out there as there are SEO writers, so it is important that you look into the exact style that will be used.  While some writers have a specific keyword pattern that they use, others simply make certain that they sprinkle the keyword throughout the webpage, and yet others include sub-keywords as well.

Everybody has his or her own idea of what works best with the different search engines, and while none of these have necessarily been proven to be the best, you may wish to find out about the results that the SEO writer may have achieved in past projects.  Some of the questions that you may wish to ask along those lines are as follows:

• How long has the writer been writing SEO?
• How long has the writer been using the specific SEO style that s/he feels works best?
• Has s/he ever received the highest ranking for a keyword article written?
• Has s/he ever received second to fourth place with keyword articles written?
• Will the writer provide samples of keyword articles written in the past?
• Is the writer able to work with strange sounding keywords that aren't necessarily grammatically correct or spelled properly?

Many web designers believe that for good SEO, the writer must have a background or experience in the precise field about which he or she will be writing.  Surprisingly enough, in the majority of cases, this is not true.  The reason for this is that keyword articles are generally not written for informational purposes as much as they are simply there for their keyword placement.  Though SEO content may contain accurate and useful information, it is usually more general in its topics, allowing a non-expert to write about it.  The focus of these articles is writing a general, accurate piece that uses the keyword properly.  Anything too in depth will not allow an SEO writer to properly utilize the keyword in the correct pattern and the right number of times.

Therefore, it is important that when you are hiring an SEO writer, you need to understand that any information included in the articles you'll receive will not likely be anything too innovative, but will rather be information that can be easily gathered using a search engine, or information that you have provided the writer.  Keyword article writing and standard article writing are two different art forms.

The final factor that you should consider among SEO writers is price.  When looking at the prices offered, make sure that you believe that the price you're paying is fair, but don't undervalue the product that you'll be receiving.  If you are expecting a superior product that will achieve the best results in search engines and web directories, then you will likely be paying a little bit more due to the experience and skills that are necessary to provide such results.  Consider your SEO content an investment that will serve your website and your business well. It will give your site a good start at achieving high ranking on search engines, and will continue to provide traffic for your site into the future.  Furthermore, if you find a good quality, dependable writer, then you'll always have someone to use when more SEO content is needed.  Considering how much it takes to find such a quality writer, that alone is well worth a few extra dollars.

Create Your Very Own Wellspring of Profitable Ideas for Internet Marketing

Create Your Very Own Wellspring of Profitable Ideas for Internet Marketing

Word Count:
759

Summary:
Many valuable ideas and resources for Niche Marketing

Keywords:
online business, niche marketing

Article Body:
Are you like me and you're beginning to see that creating income online through internet marketing is a golden opportunity?  Something that we're at the forefront of, as it will just continue to grow as more and more people come online.  And are you seeing that information is endless, and that people already consume huge amounts of information in the form of newspapers, magazines, books, professional journals, business journals, and on. People will never stop wanting information and if you can create information products (which is actually fairly easy to do once you learn how) to satisfy their information hunger in new ways, they will gladly pay you for it.

One of the most fruitful areas of internet marketing is found in niche marketing. This is where it really gets fun! There are endless niches and as you begin doing some research, you'll see what I mean.

There are many aspects to creating a successful online business, of which good ideas are just one; but please don't underestimate the power of having lots of good ideas that you can get excited about.

There are several great ways to generate a rich flow of ideas for niche marketing. One of the most important things to do is to keep an idea journal.  A simple notebook will do. Keep it handy to jot down your ideas as they occur to you. Of course you can also use your computer, or anything that works for you.  Just be sure to have something handy so you don't miss any of your ideas. Your ideas may seem at first to just trickle in, but as you make some of the following idea generators habit, you'll be opening the flow.

You can generate ideas from time spent both online and off, and you'll want to do both to be most effective.

To stimulate ideas away from your computer, heighten your everyday awareness as you go about your life. Pay attention to advertisements you encounter. Who are they selling to? What are they selling? What angles are they using to sell it?

Another excellent thing to do is spend some time studying the magazine racks at a big bookstore like Borders or Barnes & Noble.  Or at the grocery store or library. Generally, the larger the selection the more ideas you can come away with. Look for 3 or 4 magazines on the same subject. If you've found 3 or 4 on the same subject, you are now aware of a trend. Read the magazines, look at the ads. You can see who the audience is and what they're interested in. You can see what is being advertized to them. Keep looking for trends of information wherever you are looking.

As for online research, there are many resources available.  There are information product banks where they have articles, reports, and e-books available for resale. Browsing for an hour or so will give you lots of great ideas about what is selling well. Once again, look for trends. Clickbank.com is a great place to start. There's also a great site that, in effect, makes Clickbank searchable at cbmall.com. Look at categories you have an interest in. Look at best-selling categories. Look for ways you could combine information into a new product of your own. Look for missing information that you could provide.

Also spend some time on Amazon.com, browsing their best-seller lists, seeing what's selling most in subjects of interest to you.

Another excellent resource available to you are online discussion groups. Many such groups exist and you can usually join them for free. Lots of times in these groups there are people with problems they're trying to solve. Listen in and see if you can come up with something to help them solve their problem.

You can also find great ideas by going to web directories. These are like phone books or catalogs of the web. My favorite so far is dmoz.com which is catalogued by humans and kept up to date. No dead links or stale web pages!  Spend some time browsing here.

Once you get some ideas going from the outside in, you'll begin to get more ideas from the inside out as well. Keep that notebook handy!

These are some of the ideas and resources I've been utilizing lately. I hope you find them as helpful as I have. Let's tap the abundance of this unique marketplace!

Wishing you abundance in all matters,

POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense - Part 3

POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense - Part 3

Word Count:
814

Summary:
This article describes what Review Sites are and why they make a great VRE(Virtual Real Estate) business model to use with Google Adsense and targeted affiliate programs.

Keywords:
google adsense,online business,niche content sites,

Article Body:

Google Adsense is simply pure genius because of its simplicity to produce profits from your website Day and Night while your sleeping.

Who knew that a business on the Internet could be so simple to build and makes many people 5 to 6 figures a month by simply offering people what they're looking for... INFORMATION!

Now if you've been following my "6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" series and have viewed some of the websites out there with Google Adsense on them then you should have a good idea by now of what you need to do to get your Google Adsense empire off and running.

I like giving examples because it really reinforces the importance of where you need to place your Google Adsense Ads in order to get a good CTR(Click Through Rate) as well as how you can blend them into your content so they don't look so obvious that there ads and as well, give you some idea's as to what others are doing so your not left there scratching your head saying... "Am I doing this right?".

These few last weeks I've been working Day and Night on a new project using Google Adsense and want you first hand to take a look so you can model it for your own Adsense websites.

This website will grow on it's own, and the cool thing is, I won't have to write a single word if I don't want to.

Go take a look ==>

Like I said, I like to give you examples and this is an example of what I talked about in my first part of my VRE Google Adsense series.

Anyway, without further adieu, lets move on to the next VRE Google Adsense business model that could pay you in two ways depending how you choose to structure it.

In the last installment I covered "Web Directories".

So in this part of the VRE series I'm going to cover "Review Sites" and then give you some examples of what they might look like.

Here we go.

VRE Model #3. Review Sites.

"Review Sites" are pretty self explanatory but are basically websites that focus on writing Product Reviews(people giving there personal opinion) about Products and/or Services that people offer on the web and/or offline.(ex: Automobile Reviews, etc.)

That's it. That's all they are. BUT, those reviews still contain "CONTENT". Content Google can use to display targeted Google Adsense Ads which in turn could earn you BIG money if you target the right niche.

Now, as I just mentioned "Review Sites" can target any Niche, whether it's Sports, Gambling, Dating -- basically whatever your interests are as long as there's a market for it.

I also mentioned earlier that you could get paid two ways by having your own review site and it's really NO secret.

All you have to do is write reviews on Products and/or Services that offer an Affiliate Program and then simply incorporate your affiliate link into your review using a quick "Call To Action" like...

... "Click Here NOW For All The Details".

Now, if they don't click out through an Google Adsense Ad and choose to click out through your affiliate link and purchase, well... you did your job. You just made a commission.

That's it.

Now you could also set up a review site where others could submit their reviews, the only problem is... they get the affiliate commission, but you still have your Google Adsense through out your review site making you clicks that make you money.

It's up to you on how you want to build it.

Now, lets wrap this up with a few examples shall we.

Here's 3 that I think will give you a good idea of what to expect:

Web Source:

Top Ten Reviews:

Consumer Search:

Now, as I said earlier, your review site can be Topic Specific or can target multiple Topics. It's up to you.

These are just a few that I picked randomly while doing a search on Google.

I hope they gave you some idea's on whether or not you want to consider building an VRE review site.

Surf around on Google - http://www.google.com - in the area that interests you the most to see if anybody else is doing it or do some keyword research to see if it's even worth pursuing.

There are always factors to consider before building a business, even with Google Adsense, so make sure you do your homework before hand.

That's it for now. So, be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of "6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense".

Essential Blogging Tools

Essential Blogging Tools

Word Count:
943

Summary:
Add these tools, tested and used by an award winning blogger, to your blog and watch your readership grow

Keywords:
blog, blogging tools, blog optimization

Article Body:

So, you finally decided to take the blog leap. You've heard all about the marketing and search benefits so you stepped up to the plate and signed up for a TypePad, MovableType or WordPress blog software package and now you're a blogger.

Okay, now what? Add the ten essential blogging tools listed below and you will also be well on your way to creating and promoting a blog that is a powerful marketing tool. I'll explain the use of the tool and offer some suggestions, including the tools I use on my own blogs including the DuctTapeMarketing blog.

Feed reader

The best way to learn about blogs and blogging is to read, or at least scan, lots of blogs. One of the wonders of blogs is that you can have every new post from every blog you want to read delivered to your desktop or to online location via RSS, so you can easily read and scan the posts of many blogs in a very short time. Newsgator is a good online choice for feed reading and also has a version that integrates with Outlook. I use a free online service know as Bloglines.

Subscriber center

You need to make it easy for your blog visitors to subscribe to your blog's RSS feed – so they can read your blog in their favorite feed reader. The best way to do this is to go to FeedBurner and burn your own RSS feed their and use the tools they provide to set up automatic subscriber links so people who want to use Bloglines, Google Reader, MyYahoo or Pluck, for instance, can click on one button to subscribe. Tech types can figure this out without the buttons but why not make it easy for anyone to figure out.

Side note – subscribe to each of these yourself and you will force some blog spiders to visit your site. http://www.feedburner.com

Email subscription option

A lot of people will never get the whole feed thing, but everyone gets email. Create an option for people to subscribe by giving you their email address – they will simply receive your blog posts like an email message. FeedBurner offers this service for free. FeedBlitz is another option or, if you already have an autoresponder email list service they may offer this service. AWeber offers this and helps me integrate these blog email subscribers into my other mailing lists.

Blog and RSS directories

There are hundreds of blog and RSS directories and getting listed in many can be a good thing. I use a piece of software called RSS Submit, but you can also visit Robin Goode's frequently updated list and submit your blog and feed by hand.

Hint: subscribe to the RSS feed he offers and you will be notified when new directories are added.

Ping service

Pinging is a term used for letting the various blog and RSS directories know when you have posted new content. Again, FeedBurner offers this as an automatic option called PingShot and you should activate it. PingGoat and Ping O Matic are other options but they require that you visit and update your record each time you post new content.

Bookmark manager

As you surf around the web or hop from blog to blog you may find sites that you want to point out to your readers. Online bookmark managers allow you to bookmark and categorize web and blog pages as you collect them and are a great tool for managing all of the stuff you find on the web. I use del.icio.us but BlinkList does a fine job as well

Blog stats

I like to track a few key stats in real time because it shows what other blogs might be linking to you or posting about your blog. A lot of people just like to track this kind of thing for fun and frequently visit sites like Technorati. I like to track it for networking opportunities. I use a tool called MyBlogLog because it allows me to see where traffic is coming from but also tracks what links on my blog visitors are clicking on. It's amazing how this data can help you write more effectively. (MyBlogLog also ranks your links so visitors can see which links on your site are the most popular.)

Desktop posting

With most blog software you must go online and post using a set of tools provided by the blog software. Many bloggers like to use a desktop application to create and submit their posts as it gives them some extra tools and allows them to more easily integrate content and files on their computer.

I use w.blogger but also like Performancing, Qumana and ecto (apple folks) (w.blogger also doubles as a really simple HTML editor.)

Tell a friend script

My blog software (pMachine) has a feature that allows a reader to click a link and send the post to a friend. This tactic brings me lots of readers. You might try looking here for some simple scripts that do that same

E-books as Your Best Asset

E-books as Your Best Asset
Word Count:
489
Summary:
Learn why E-books can be a great internet wealth building asset.

Keywords:
Ebooks, Marketing, Affiliate, Money, Internet, Profit

Article Body:
Thinking of starting a business online? Not sure what type of product to sell or to promote?  Well, I was just reading an amazing E-book that shared some very simple concepts that anyone can implement, and they start with having one thing, an E-book.
Information is constantly being distributed and passed around for free on the internet.  One can read free internet articles on how to trade stocks, or how to improve your golf swing, but those articles don't always give you a step by step guide to learn all the tricks.  People are now relying on information that will help guide them in doing a highly specialized trade, like trading stocks, repairing vintage automobiles, or losing weight.  There are many paper books available that will teach people how to do these things, but much of the time, people are going to the internet to find solutions and find current information on specialized trades.
Let's look at some reasons why an E-book can be a great asset:
1. An E-book is digital, and can be kept online at a website, not at a warehouse.
2. It can only be downloaded from a website 24/7 and as it is totally secure, it cannot be passed around the internet as a free un-secure article.
3. One has to buy an E-book to read it.  It can only be read after it is paid for.
4. Once an E-book is created an E-book, it is forever available.

5. After writing the E-book, the work is done, and it can constantly make money for you.  Of course, the more it is kept updated, and the more E-books one has, the more profit potential there is.

6. When an E-book is sold, the customer does not have to wait for it.  It's delivered to them instantly, and they can conveniently store it on their computer or laptop, so it is available to them more easily.
7. Paper Books take about a year to get published and cost a lot of money in printing, postage and handling. E-books have no publishing cost, and can be delivered through the internet saving time and money on postage and handling.
8. There are very simple and sophisticated internet marketing tools to drive traffic to ones website for people to buy the E-books.
9. E-books can always be revised and kept updated as fast as one can create new content.  This makes E-books more current than a normal paperback.
10.  An E-book can be bought forever.  This gives it an unlimited profit potential.
So, think about spending some extra time and compile a 30-100 page E-book, that is high quality, and gives the customer great value.  The time spent doing this can create a steady income stream forever.  When we start thinking about moving our mindset from trading our time for money, to having our assets work for us, we start to shift from having to always work for our money, to letting our E-books work for us.

Online Articles - Get Traffic

Online Articles - Get Traffic
Word Count:
566
Summary:
Online articles can generate traffic and make you rich - and they are easy to write. Just be sure you get the basics right.

Keywords:
online articles, persuasive writing, articles

Article Body:
Online articles may be the single best way to get traffic to your web site. Writing articles and submitting them to free article directories is certainly one of the least expensive ways. To make it work, though, you have to be persuasive.
Maybe you wonder what persuasive writing has to do with articles. You're not exactly selling something with an informative article, are you? Actually, you are. First, you have to persuade the reader to keep reading until he gets to your link at the bottom. Then you have to give the reader a reason to click through to your site. Use the following tips to get more traffic by writing persuasively.
Persuasive Online Articles
 1. Keyword optimized headlines. "How Much Can You Make This Year?" will get more readers than "Make More Money," but only if people find the article first. "Get Rich Writing Simple Articles," might have been a more attention grabbing headline, but I used "Online Articles" because that is a keyword phrase that people are actually searching. Of course, if you can use good keywords AND eye-catching headlines, it is even better.
Another way to have the best of both, is to write the article twice. Firt write it with a good keyword-optimized title, and then re-write it and submit it again with a more catchy title. Paint a picture in seven words or less, if you can. "A Thousand Dollars Fell Off My Table," might lure them in. Titles with,"10 Ways To..." or "Avoid These Six Mistakes..." or "How To..." in them, are popular too.
 2. The article description. Many article directories require a description. This lets the reader know what the article is about, and hopefully convinces them to read it. Hinting at things and leaving the reader wanting more can help: "If you're making these errors, you're losing money every day. Learn to avoid the most common optimization mistakes."
 3. The article body. You should write in your natural style, or, if you haven't yet developed one, stick to easy "top 10" types of articles. Keep paragraphs short, or readers will lose interest. Hinting at incompleteness can also help to get readers to visit your site. Instaed of, "Here's how to write articles." Say, "Here are a few of the techniques I use to easily write new articles." You want them looking for the other techniques - on your site.
 4. Use subtitles. The use of subtitles and headings breaks up an article, making it easier to read. Subtitles also help to optimize an article for search engines, if they contain good keywords. You'll notice I often use subtitles, like the one coming up...
Online Articles - The Resource Box
You write online articles to get traffic, which you get from the link in the author's resource box - if the reader clicks on it. Invite them to do so, and never just put your name, acheievements, and a link. At the very least say "To learn more, visit..." or something similar.
My most successful resource box is for my real estate site. It reads, "Steve Gillman has invested in real estate for years. To get a free real estate investing course, and see a photo of a beautiful house he and his wife bought for $17,500, visit http://www.HousesUnderFiftyThousand.com" The resource box is what online articles are all about. Below, you'll find an another one that has worked well for me.

Keywords:
traffic tactics, list building, internet, marketing, secrets, website, website, get, new, tactics

Article Body:
- Internet - Business - Profit -
To fully integrate all of these words into a successful merging you will need another word.
- Traffic -
Every article you will ever find about making your site or company successful would always include the importance of generating traffic.
So, we all know that in the core of it all, traffic is the most essential thing to a successful internet based business company. Aside from ensuring that you have a great product to sell, and you have your company's internal organization well taken care of, it would be time to get to the nitty gritty of things, generating traffic.
If you already have a site and you think that you're not getting the traffic that you're supposed to be getting, then its time to reconsider. If you are contending in very competitive businesses, you should always be a step ahead of your competition. Increasing your traffic flow should have been done starting yesterday.
Timing is essential, that's an old adage known to everyone. But with generating traffic, you should always be on your toes and be a day ahead of everyone else. Never think of today and tomorrow as a starting point for making your site traffic laden, it should always have been yesterday.
To help you out in generating more traffic for your site, here are seven surefire ways to increase your traffic starting from yesterday.
1) Invest in good advertising with the top search engines
Google's Adwords and Yahoo's Search Marketing provide great advertising schemes that are very truly popular...and if done correctly with the right keywords and ads will provide you with great traffic.
Although, to do this surefire method to increase your traffic will cost some money. While some would shy away from spending money to increase traffic, it is imperative in this case to do so because Adwords and Yahoo are still the top ways to increase your traffic and the quickest.
You can see for yourself the success that these search engine advertising methods have had for so many companies. Lots of websites use these advertising systems and many have reaped the benefits. Do not be left behind. Every penny is worth it with using Google and Yahoo's advertising as long as it's done correctly and not hap hazzardly.
2) Exchange or Trade Links with other sites
If you're doing link exchanges with other sites, both of you will benefit from the efforts both of you do to enhance your sites traffic. When one site features another sites link, they will provide one another with the traffic that each of them generate. The efforts are doubly beneficial because it would seem like both of you are working to generate more traffic. The more links traded with more sites, the more traffic that each could receive. It's a win-win situation.
3) Use Viral Marketing
Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product without the out of pocket expense. This is a marketing method that can be quite sneaky; you can attach your company's name, product or link to a certain media such as a funny video, entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz. With this method, people get infected with the creativity and entertainment of the medium that they will pass it on to many people.
4) Search and use proper keywords or keyword phrases for your sites content
Search engines look for certain keywords that you have on your webpages and they show you in their results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword phrase is a high requirement in ranking high in search engine results. You could write your own content or you could hire someone to do it for you.
5) Write Articles that can lead traffic to your site
Submit articles to article directories that contain the same subject that your site deals in. If you sell car parts, write press releases and articles about cars and car parts. Attach your sites description and services at the end of the article as well as the link to your website.
6) Join forums and form online communities
Capture a market and show your expertise and credibility. When you build a good foundation for your site and have great content, people will trust you and will pass it on to many people they trust. Either through email, a newsletter article or their blog. Your traffic will certainly increase, because they know that you can provide what they need.
7) Offer newsletters.
If many people know what you are about and your existence is shared with many others, you will find a loyal following of people that trust and believe in you, in the end they can provide you with more traffic by recommendation. If you arouse the curiosity of your customers they would be pushed to help you with your traffic.

Take a moment to think about how you would really answer this question. If given enough thought just about any business owner who utilizes the Internet for any purpose will likely find that whether or not they intentionally organized an Internet marketing campaign, they may already be marketing their products and services on the Internet. This article will examine some subtle ways business owners may already be marketing their business on the Internet.
Do you have a website for your business? Business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their products or services online just by virtue of the fact that they have a website online. Having a live website means there is the potential for curious Internet users to access your website. You may not be actively promoting your website but you may still find that your website generates interest in your products despite the lack of promotional endeavors; this is a form of passive marketing.
Do you participate in message boards and include a link to your website in your signature? Again business owners who answer yes to this question are already marketing their website online. Savvy business owners realize the importance of participation in industry related message boards to create an interest in their products and services, establish themselves as knowledgeable about the industry and offer a link to their own website even if it is in the signature line of their posts. However, even business owners who do not realize this may already be inadvertently enjoying the benefits of Internet marketing which result from message board participation just by doing something they enjoy and may be doing as a form of leisure activity.
Do you include keywords which are relevant to your business in the content of your website? Business owners who answer yes to this question are also already marketing on the Internet by optimizing their website for these keywords. These search engine optimization (SEO) affects the websites whether or not they were even aware of the concept of keyword density and how it can help to SEO a website. Business owners will likely use certain words often depending on the type of products and services they offer just because it is natural and logical to do so. This tendency, however, can result in search engines boosting your website rankings for these particular keywords. The concept of SEO is much more involved and complex than simply using keywords frequently but business owners can gain some benefit just by naturally applying relevant keywords to their website.
Do you solicit feedback from your customers online? This is yet another example of how business owners may be accidentally marketing their business on the Internet. Most business owners realize the importance of soliciting feedback from customers for business purposes and business owners who offer products online might solicit feedback in the form of online surveys. Although the business owners may be doing this simply for a business purpose the fact that it is done online makes it fall into the category of Internet marketing.
We have already discussed several ways in which business owners may already be marketing online but what about business owners who want to have an increased online presence? Business owners who may already be marketing online accidentally may wish to launch a full scale Internet marketing campaign. The best way to do this is to hire a consultant with experience in Internet marketing to assist you in creating a campaign which is effective for your target audience.

You can endorse products complementary to your own, or just find a niche you're interested in promoting. But according to Wade Schlosser, of , you need to be discriminating with your endorsements. Warns Schlosser, "If you push poor-quality products or lousy services, you'll quickly gain a bad reputation on the Internet."

Signs of a Good Program

Before you sign any affiliate agreements, explore different programs and find the ones that you feel comfortable supporting. Consider the following factors when researching a program:

Affiliate Training and Support

Look for programs that have a dedicated affiliate manager to provide you with the support and materials you need in a timely fashion. Ask questions, and notice how quickly and thoroughly they answer your emails and phone calls.

Different affiliate sites convert differently, so ask the affiliate manager which of their materials convert most effectively with your site type and traffic demographics. Make sure they offer the kind of content you need to effectively pitch their products to your consumers:

• Keyword research for content creation

• Coupons, sweepstakes, and discounts

• Text links and banner ads

• Dynamic data feeds (ex: articles, blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, etc.) to ensure the product information you're publishing is up-to-date and accurate

• A private or "white" label – this is a domain name that provides all the content info you need, as well as pictures, forms, etc., for you to cut and paste to your web site

• A dedicated 800-number with affiliate tracking

Payment and Commission Plan

Note what actions you get paid for – per lead, per sale, per click, etc. Make sure your consumers won't have to fill out endless forms that will likely discourage them and cost you sales. Look to see the frequency with which you get paid – you want that money funneling back into your marketing campaign as quickly as possible. Also find out the method with which you get paid – do they have an online payment solution that moves your money into your account as soon as the numbers are finalized? Will you have to wait for a check?

Take a close look at the affiliate percentage, and make sure it's comparable with similar programs in the same industry. An absurdly high commission, like 75%, may be a red flag that the program is merely a lead-generation scam, taking the targeted leads you send them and reselling their contact information to other companies in similar industries.

Acceptable Traffic

Certain industries don't do well with certain types of marketing, like incentive marketing; and not all affiliate programs accept all kinds of traffic. You don't want to rack up $5,000 in sales for a program via email marketing, only to learn they don't accept email sales. That's why you need to read and understand a program's policies before you sign up. The affiliate manager can help you determine if your type of traffic and marketing techniques are a good match for their company.

The companies you support can either enhance your e-business or damage it. That's why you have to take the time to ensure that you want to be tied to the merchants you become an affiliate for. Says Schlosser, "Affiliate marketing can be a great source of online income. The key to using it successfully is doing your homework and finding programs that are well-suited to your business model and marketing techniques."

There are million of dollars of seized and unclaimed property auctioned by the government on an everyday basis. These potential hidden treasures include cars, houses, boats, jewelry, antiques, and more. Since the government has nothing invested and often lacks potential buyers, the amount required to purchase can be obscenely low. Auctions are a common method used to dispose of anything and everything they have accumulated.

Government auctions are held everyday all across the United States. Federal, State and Local governments all hold their own auctions on a regular basis.  The following is some helpful information to get you started in your quest to find a new home, car or other property at a bargain price.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I locate a government auction near me?

-- Unfortunately there is not one nice consolidated place that lists all of them for you. Local, state and federal governments tend not to operate in cooperation, but each has their own unique method of advertising their own auctions or sales. You can begin by contacting your local or state government in person, by phone, or email. Sometimes you will find listings for auctions in the local newspaper or posted at various city or county buildings. Searching the internet may also turn up listings.

Is it complicated to buy via an auction?

-- No, generally there is a simple registration process. When you register, you get information about their payment and other policies, like how long you have to remove an item, once you've purchased it and whether or how closely you will be allowed to inspect what is up for bid, before they begin the auction.

How do I find that particular item I'm looking for?

-- This is where the fun begins. It can take lots, and lots of looking. Often auction listings only mention some of the items being sold, not all of them. Checking with the local agency that would logically have the item you might want is a good idea. An agriculture related agency would be a good place to start looking for used tractors, instead of a business oriented department or agency.

Why are things so cheap?

-- Simple supply and demand. The government seizes property everyday and there are a limited number of people that know how to buy it. The government is not at risk of taking a loss since they did not invest in the item to begin with.

Can you really buy a car for $100?

-- Yes, there are cars that cheap, but they most likely will not be in mint condition. You should pursue this like you would when buying any used car. Kick the tires, look under the hood, and take it for a test drive if they will allow it.  Try to check to make sure the car is not a "salvage car" before purchasing.

What about real estate?

-- The current economic situation likely makes this the newest potential goldmine for those with some money to invest. With the housing market and mortgage market taking huge hits this year, more homes have gone into foreclosure or are being seized by the government for back taxes owed. Watch the papers and internet websites for "tax sales". The flood of homes being seized is making it difficult to impossible for various government agencies to find buyers for a wide range of properties.

The potential is only limited by the effort you put forth. I have seen a pallet of computers go for less than the cost of a single computer, because I was in the right place at the right time, but without a truck… For those who have done the research and have prepared there truly are treasures waiting.

One of the things I encourage people to do when they start out online is to quickly create a plan of what they want to achieve. A vision for your business is better, but not everyone is ready for a vision.  Even a plan for the next six months will help you to focus on what you want to get done.

The internet offers an opportunity to reach a wide market if you are effective, and your "shop" never has to close. It will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to anyone that chooses to visit.

Not only is the potential for customers huge, but the number of areas you can focus on online is also huge, and whilst I will not be covering them all in this article I wanted to give you a flavor of some of the things you can do.

Affiliate Marketing - This involves you selling the products of a supplier. Its one of the more popular things to do when you start out online because you don't need your own product, and many affiliates don't own their own website.

When you sell goods on behalf of a supplier they give you a commission based fee – which varies but can be anything from 5% to 75% of the total cost of the product.

It makes for a great start because they take care of all the customer service and delivery of the product.  The downside of affiliate marketing is the fact that you never earn as much as someone who actually owns the product.

Info-preneuring or Information Products - Information products are amongst some of the greatest products currently churning out money online. And anyone can create an information product. Imagine you know how to build a pond from scratch. That already makes you a lot more knowledgeable than me -the only thing I know about ponds is that they look great in my garden!
Maybe one person in a thousand will want to know how to build the kind of pond you know how to build.

Offline you can write a book about it but not many publishers will want to publish it (although there is self-publishing now!). because for a publishing company it's just not worth the marketing.

On the internet though, one person in a thousand gives you a potential market of 340,000 customers. If you write a book and sell it online for just $10 per copy you could make as much as $3,400,000. All you have to do is tell people what you know-and tell them it's out there. And that costs next to nothing.
If you love writing, or if you have work that you have tried to get published and failed, this may be a great alternative for you.

Niche Marketing - Now you have your information product on how to build a pond, this is called a niche market. You are not talking about knitting, or how to improve your golf swing so you will not want to market to those people.

Niche marketing is basically marketing your website to a particular market. Once your pond ebook is selling well there is nothing to stop you putting up another website about improving your golf swing, or looking after your new hamster. You just decide on the product, create it and put up a website. But again, you must first do some research into what people want if you really want your site to be successful.

It pays to focus in on one particular niche because then people will arrive at your site knowing that you potentially have the product they are looking for.  If they are then presented with 30 different products on different topics they will not hang around long enough to bother looking.

Membership Sites – This has become one of the bigger money earners.  Imagine taking everything you know on how to build a pond, filming yourself as you build and then creating it into videos. Interviewing pond and fish experts and turning them into audio.  Then putting all that information into a membership area where people pay to gain access. 2,000 members paying a monthly fee of $10 to get access to this membership site is a nice chunk of change!  Your site could charge a one-off fee, a yearly fee or a monthly fee (or all 3!)

Google Adsense - Google provide adverts that can be placed on your website, when someone clicks on this advert you get money (don't get any ideas about clicking it yourself, Google monitor that and ban you forever!). What has become popular is to have a site that contains articles on a topic, e.g. Looking after a kitten and the adverts will reflect the topic, so there may be adverts on vets, insurance, food especially for kittens, etc etc.

As this information site will help people they are more likely to read the article and then click on one of the adverts. Even better, if you have a product you are selling and you write the article, chances are people will then take a look at your product and buy it.

Google changed the way it reviews sites late July/early August 2006, which really only affected sites that were setup with the sole purpose of getting people to click on their ad link, rather than provide information. The key is to provide quality unique information that you have written yourself, not just a load of clickable adverts and you will be okay.

Network Marketing - Network Marketing or multi-level marketing (mlm) is an area that is well known offline as well as online. Amway is one of the leading network marketing companies, and now, there are a host of opportunities to get into online.
Network marketing works because it uses leverage.  The more people you introduce and help them to introduce others the more money you make. The difficulty can be in just getting people involved and then keeping them interested enough to learn how to replicate your success.

But if you manage that network marketing is definitely a great income generating opportunity.  The key is to find a reputable company with years of experience, or a new company with solid backing both financially and in terms of the people who support the business.

Finally....

Turnkey Businesses - A turnkey business (also called plug-in) is a business that provides everything for you. You will usually be given a product, a website and/or some training/tools in how to market. Some turnkey businesses offer incentives to be paid if you recruit others to take up the opportunity.

This is a great way to get started because you have everything you need. It is definitely important to look for a company that provides you with help and support.

A great example of a turnkey business is my business called The Wealth Director at  You receive  a website, a newsletter system (with newsletters), subscribers and leads when you buy a package, everything you need is in one place.

There is also a complete business including personal development support at  to help anyone with online business startup and network marketing.

The above is a small part of what is possible online, 7 ways to start making money online.  There are many other opportunities and I encourage you to research and find out which one works best for you before getting yourself involved in one.

I also encourage you to focus on one (or two at the most) and enjoy earning a living from them before moving on to running another business.
